All Oprah Winfrey has done is work hard, remain true to herself while ensuring that she improves every day. You can too. Aren’t convinced? You will be after I tell you the reasons Why I love Oprah Winfrey.

“You get in life what you have the courage to ask for.”― Oprah Winfrey

You get a car! You get a jet! And you! Get to know why you too should love Oprah Winfrey.

The easiest way to write an article like this is to use a list of accomplishments. I google Oprah’s name, anything outside the first page results is automatically out of consideration. I don’t so much read the title of the articles, as much as I scan the excerpt content. I see which I like, I click, then I tell you how amazing Oprah Winfrey is for doing a list of things that I may scatter out of order.

To be fair, that would probably be more informative. You would ascertain some concrete facts, but that would be a poor reflection of what I think. I actually can’t hold on to any reason why I love her presence in the world. I am going to figure it out as you read.

But first, my confession. I see successful people, and there is this hateful tinge in my chest. It is small but noticeable. I am practising mindfulness as I write to feel the part of my heart that lets me know the envy has arrived.

One second.

Justin Bieber is a millionaire. I am not.

There you go, I feel the resentment at the bottom right of my heart. Happens almost every time. I am immediately judgemental. My first thoughts are about the negative things I have heard about Justin Bieber. That he’d be the perfect scapegoat, for this particular argument, at this juncture of the article.

I don’t think about the millions of lives Bieber may have touched. I scan for reasons why I deserve the money more, the good I would do with it. I scoff at the waste of power, how influence ought to be used for more. It is a commonplace envy. I won’t dress it up too much.

But I think of Oprah Winfrey, and that never happens.

There is something about her. She is a model of humanity.

She reeks of compassion. She oozes the worthiness of her dreams. She has this reassuring calm of an exceptional leader. She works hard.

“Your true passion should feel like breathing; it’s that natural.” ― Oprah Winfrey

She is curious. She is composed. She is passionate. She appears fearless. She is an ordinary person making excellent choices. She is everything we ought to aim for to be great. And notice I did not mention her wealth.

There is a lot about her.

It is Oprah Winfrey. The dignity she represents. The love she carries with esteem. That we love her because nothing at the back of our minds warn us that her ego is inflated, that her persona is an act.

She personifies inspiration. I love that she is a black woman that can walk into any room and command respect. There is this feeling of destiny when I think of her work as if it were written that her spirit would accomplish great things no matter what. Like the rest of us are here to either witness or take up her challenge.

There is more to her.

“The biggest adventure you can ever take is to live the life of your dreams.” ― Oprah Winfrey

She is good. The world is better off with her in it, and we need more like her. We can be.

A lot of people do great things, sell millions of movie tickets, fill up stadiums or make game-winning shots. They are the famous icons of today. Those whose rise we watch, mostly for that inevitable and entertaining fall. They compete for an outperform for our attention. They deserve all that they receive but Oprah does the right thing with what she gets.

Do I need to stop and add that there is this sense of perpetuity about her success? I guess I just did.

Whereas today´s celebrity sees the fame and fortune as an end, Oprah’s lives as if it is only a means to a greater purpose. And I love her for that. She has figured out a key to our existence, balancing the selfishness needed to build a kingdom with the selflessness necessary to ensure that her empire thrives in a harmonious world.

Her focus seems to be more on competing for the most amount of good she can achieve than our applause. And I love that she comes off so average-joanna-trying-to-do-her-best. She is on a different frequency.

And here is where I sneak my intentions on you, like a spy at night. A terrible spy.

I honestly do believe that every one of us has the key inside them to unlock their powerful call to fate. Everyone can get in touch with the majesty within. I think you can dig for your truth and become the person you were always meant to be, incredible.

“We can’t become what we need to be by remaining what we are.” ― Oprah Winfrey

All Oprah Winfrey has done is work hard, remain true to herself while ensuring that she improves every day. You can too. Like those she must have aspired to, she did something about her ambitions, instead of just watching. You can too. You have a perfect model.

I think of Oprah, and I love that we can all make the decision today toward being more like her. It would not require years of training in a gym, embarrassing auditions, or a deal with the devil.

“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.” ― Oprah Winfrey

The Oprah in us would require is a shift toward being true to ourselves, being genuine with others and giving our all to every endeavour. Simple. It is how she makes greatness seem effortless.

Your greatness, the one you can enjoy privately every day, it is easy. Be true, be good and you will experience your greatness. You will deserve all the good that comes to you, in your ability to let go. Ah! There you go! I knew I would eventually hit the nail on the head, why I love Oprah. She isn’t trying to keep success to herself. She embodies it and shares.

“Breathe. Let go. And remind yourself that this very moment is the only one you know you have for sure.” ― Oprah Winfrey

In her work, she is trying to give it all away to you. She endeavours to show you can have all the things you ever wanted, without feeling like you are suffering for them. She cuddles up with your insecurities and rocks it gingerly, without judgment.

She is genuine. You look at her, and you realize that being your best does not require more effort than allowing your true nature to shine. Allow it.

I know there is a target in my mind, how I hope to one day be and she is a part of that package. That’s why I respect her.

I love Oprah because she is a bright example floating high above the rest of us, encouraging those that strive for her excellence, that it is possible if we allow it.

“The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate.”  ― Oprah Winfrey

Is Oprah your correct guide? If not who is and when are you going to start striving as opposed to just watching?
